Compute: the VM resource
The VM is the compute component: vCPU and RAM. Azure Virtual Machine (VM) equals compute component. Size defines virtual CPU (vCPU) and Random Access Memory (RAM). Compute is necessary, but not sufficient. Storage plus networking complete the working system.
